If you already know your shoe size, you can go straight to measuring the width of your feet.

Measure your feet to find the right shoe size

  • First, measure your feet at night, as they tend to swell during the day.
  • Measure your feet in socks.
  • Your two feet may be different lengths, so we recommend that you measure both feet and keep the larger measurement.
  • You will need a blank sheet of paper, a pen and a ruler or tape measure.

Step 1

Lay the white sheet lengthwise along a wall and place your foot, in a sock, on the sheet with the heel stuck to the wall.

Step 2

Now draw the outline of your foot on the paper. Make sure you hold the pencil at a 90 degree angle and trace the outline directly along the foot. It is best to get someone else to do this, especially if you have difficulty bending down.

Step 3

Measure the length from the heel to the tip of the longest toe and refer to the size chart to find the corresponding size for the measurement you found.

If you are between sizes, always round up to the next size.

Measure your feet to find the right shoe width

Step 1

Stand with your weight evenly on both feet.

Step 2

Place the tape measure or shoelace loosely around your foot at its widest point. The tape or lace should normally go over your little toe and over the insertion of your big toe.

It is best to get someone else to do this, especially if you have difficulty bending down.

Step 3

Note the corresponding length and refer to the width chart below to find the ideal shoe width for your feet.
